The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for coordinating the smooth flow of materials into and out of the organization. This includes receiving and stocking Production and R&D materials as well as collecting, packaging and documenting finished goods for shipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving:
Maintain record of receipt dates of incoming purchase orders
Submit incoming paperwork for processing
Open, inspect and stock received materials
Update inventory logs
Packaging / Shipping:
Package products as per work instructions/regulations
Generate packaging documents/labels
Prepare shipping/customs documents
Update finished goods inventory logs
Inbound / Outbound Logistics:
Coordinate incoming inspection of materials with Planning and QA
Report discrepancies between ordered and received materials
Follow up on incoming/outgoing shipments (via tracking numbers) and communicate status
Review/update regulatory shipping requirements
Warehouse Maintenance:
Maintain organization of warehouse
Operate forklift and perform daily inspections
Determine appropriate storage conditions of incompatible/hazardous materials
Break down pallets and dispose of packaging waste
Maintain accurate SDS documentation
Experience:
At least 4 years’ experience in a comparable work environment
Experience working with an ERP system is desirable
Experience with Syspro is desirable
Skills / Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication
Background in ERP transactions (work orders, shipments, reporting)
Computer literacy including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and spreadsheets
Good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment
Ability to work with limited supervision
Demonstrate positive attitude and self-motivation
Excellent organizational skills
Forklift operator
Familiar with International customs documentation
Experience with Dangerous Goods handling
Familiar with WHMIS and SDS
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg)
Education:
High school graduation essential; a college diploma is a big plus.
Pay / Compensation:
$22.00 - $27.00 CAD per hour

The salary range posted above reflects the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries, taking into account factors such as job-related skills and expertise, relevant training and education, and business needs. It is common for ranges to span multiple levels in order to attract top talent across experience levels. It is uncommon to be hired at the top of the range; however, in exceptional cases where a candidate's skills and expertise significantly exceed the role's requirements, we may consider offering a higher salary.
