We are looking for Vice President of Business Development to lead the commercial team across Canada. As a Strategic Leader, this position is responsible for sustainable and profitable growth of the Canadian crane businesses which includes the identification of market opportunities and competitive threats along with the successful attainment of new customers, and growth within existing customer accounts. The location of this position is preferred where our Corporate Office location is based in Edmonton, AB however we are open to consider other locations within Canada. Responsibilities: Assists in developing and executing Strategic plans and Annual Budget for Sterling Crane Canada Leads and directs the analysis of customers, markets and competition in the crane services and related markets Develops and leads effective Pricing and sales strategies. Educates, coaches, mentors and trains all customer-facing sales employees on current and relevant tools, such as 80/20, Quad and Quartile analysis and Value Pricing methodologies Continuously improves the skill set and capability of the sales team. Develops and executes a broad strategy for growth of the crane sector that includes organic sources of sustainable and profitable growth. Manages current portfolio of customers and provides ongoing evaluation of opportunities to grow and improve profitability Develops executive level customer relationships with key decision makers Develops analysis of opportunities within existing markets for winning new customers and conducts market research to stay informed of industry trends. Analyzes and identifies opportunities for geographic expansion in current branch footprint Collaborate with business unit leadership, Sector and Corporate resources to deliver on company objectives. Manage and continually development the Estimating department within Sterling Crane Canada, ensuring all proposals are answered with a high degree of professionalism and accuracy. Interfaces with Contract Management on setting commercial term structure and negotiations of terms and conditions. Leads all outbound marketing efforts for Sterling Crane Canada, including the use of social media (LinkedIn, Twitter etc.). Inclusive of market engagement through forums, events and conferences. Frequent travel to multiple locations within Canada and interaction with internal stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (or equivalent) required Extensive commercial or operational leadership experience in the Crane/construction industry is preferred Extensive experience working with general contracts, EPC/M businesses and Engineering firms. Extensive knowledge of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, Power (conventional and renewable) and Civil/Infrastructure industries is preferred Minimum of 10 years of Sales Leadership is required.
