As a Yard Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our clients receive timely, accurate, and high-quality service. Working outdoors in all weather conditions, you’ll be responsible for picking and preparing pipe and fittings with efficiency and care. You’ll use RF scanning equipment and apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to maintain inventory accuracy and flow. Physical stamina is essential, as the role requires lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Location: 2441 Royal Windsor Dr, Mississauga, ON L5J 4C7 (view on google maps) Shift: Monday – Friday; 10:00am – 6:00pm Starting Salary: $30.07/hour Responsibilities • Safely and confidently operate forklift equipment in accordance with training and safety standards • Follow established RF processes to ensure accurate inventory tracking • Pick, stage, and load freight with precision and care • Execute tasks in the correct sequence to meet delivery timelines • Consistently meet productivity, quality, and safety goals • Load and unload Flatbed and Dry Van trucks efficiently • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Proactively report unsafe conditions or concerns to leadership • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment • Communicate stock discrepancies clearly and respectfully with team members • Adapt to working in various weather conditions • Perform other duties as needed to support team success Requirements • High School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent experience • Experience using RF equipment and remote printers • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy • Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems independently • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines • Valid certification for operating Counterbalance forklift equipment • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning Working Conditions This role involves moderate physical activity, which may include lifting, posture changes, and maintaining visual focus. Tasks include both routine and varied responsibilities, performed within clearly defined safety and operational standards. Work may be performed in challenging climate conditions, such as high summer temperatures or rain/snow, especially for outdoor order picking.
