Your Impact:
As a senior member of the Marketing Operations Analytics team, the Principal Marketing Analytics Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decision-making across Marketing and its partner functions. This role goes beyond reporting; it drives strategic insights, influences executive decisions, and champions scalable analytics solutions that enable transparency and speed across the organization.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior Marketing leadership, proactively identifying trends, surfacing opportunities, and ensuring that data is not only accurate but actionable. You will lead initiatives that unify KPIs, optimize processes, and elevate operational performance globally. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder management to deliver impact at scale.
What The Role Offers:
Strategic Leadership & Program Ownership
Serve as the primary analytics partner for Marketing leadership, delivering insights that inform investment decisions, pipeline health, and campaign performance.
Anticipate leadership questions and embed answers into dashboards and reports, transforming raw data into strategic narratives.
Influence cross-functional priorities by connecting marketing performance to revenue outcomes and growth objectives.
Operational Excellence & Process Innovation
Identify gaps in current reporting and propose structured, forward-looking solutions that align with global business needs.
Lead projects from concept to execution; defining requirements, managing stakeholders, and ensuring business adoption.
Demonstrate thought leadership in marketing analytics, influencing best practices and operational excellence across the organization.
Advanced Analytics & Business Insights
Gain deep expertise in backend data structures through SQL; independently troubleshoot and enhance dashboards without reliance on legacy owners.
Drive automation and scalability in reporting processes to reduce manual effort and accelerate insight delivery.
Cross-Functional Influence & Leadership
Act as the reporting SME and trusted advisor for Marketing and Sales leadership—building confidence through accuracy, clarity, and actionable recommendations.
Develop and deliver enablement programs (training, documentation, playbooks) to increase stakeholder independence and adoption of analytics tools.
Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making across Marketing and partner functions.
What You Need to Succeed:
8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, with significant leadership responsibilities and a proven track record of achieving results.
Advanced degrees in Business or Management Studies/Sciences (example: MBA) preferred.
Prior experience in leading teams preferred.
Candidate should have legal work authorization status for Canada.
Strong Knowledge of lead management processes and demand generation workflows. Experience executing or supporting the execution of Marketing strategies is an asset.
Expertise in reporting on B2B Marketing data and related processes (Campaign reporting, Marketing Attribution, Marketing events performance, BDR performance).
Strong research, analytical/decision making and problem-solving skills.
Skilled with Excel pivot tables or Power Pivot.
Functional knowledge of Power Query and DAX concepts.
Skilled in SQL querying for research, data pulls and analysis purposes.
PowerBI reporting and/or ownership experience with ability to troubleshoot errors and data related issues, including DAX, Measures, Data Model.
Experience with automation tools like Power Automate, UiPath, Python.
Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business KPI's for reporting.
Experience with Marketing or Sales Operations, strong financial knowledge.
Direct reporting experience with Salesforce is good to have but not essential.
Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with business leaders and technical teams.
