POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Supervisor – Equipment (Fleet), and the technical direction and guidance of the Leadhand – Truck & Coach/Automotive Technician, performs shop maintenance duties.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with daily shop maintenance duties, such as cleaning and organizing the shop, the storage compound, and the parts storage building.
Cleans and paints Corporate equipment, as directed.
Washes and cleans the pool unit fleet
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Secondary school education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate effective and concisely in English, both orally and in writing
Must be highly motivated and work well in a team environment
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must possess and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence, or equivalent
Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
Physical Demands:
This position requires constant standing/walking; frequent squatting/kneeling and lifting (varying amounts)
Must be able to bend, stretch and twist freely
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOMENT:
Must remain a competent driver as defined by the Corporation
May be required to provide a successful driver’s abstract
