Job Description
• Performing Breast Imaging procedures as outlined in the protocol/procedure manuals
• Operating, troubleshooting and ensuring that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
• Preparing written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results
• Meet CAR and OBSP digital quality assurance standards
• Participate in professional development, teaching and educational activities
• Performing duties related to the job classification as required with possibility of rotating to other Breast Imaging Corporate sites on an as needed basis
• Professional behavior and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women's College Hospital
• This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all
As a role model and champion you will work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care

Qualifications
• Medical Radiation Sciences Diploma/Degree in Radiography/Radiological Technology from a recognized program
• Certification with the CAMRT in the discipline of Radiological Technology -- RTR
• Current registration and in good standing with the CMRITO
• 3-5 years experience in an outpatient hospital setting preferred
• Successful completion of post diploma/degree Mammography courses -- Mammography course 1/Breast Imaging 1 and Mammography 2/Breast Imaging 2 via the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) preferred
• Commit to on-going continuing education
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively and communicate respectfully within a supportive interprofessional team environment
• Demonstrate strong technical skills, navigate competing priorities, and utilize good judgement to ensure work is always performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team
• Effective body language and people management skills with the ability to demonstrate sensitivity when dealing with intimate patient contact situations
• Ability to be trained in breast ultrasound
• Effective time management skills; ability to organize work, set priorities and multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Effective computer skills
• Good work and attendance record required
