Description:
The Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network (UHN) and Sinai Health, is inviting applications for multiple full-time Academic Medical Oncologist positions.
We are seeking energetic, collaborative, and innovative physicians with expertise in Medical Oncology, with major site focuses in Thoracic Oncology, Sarcoma, and Gynecologic (Gyne) Medical Oncology. Flexibility to include an additional tumor site as a minor clinical interest may be considered. The anticipated start date is March 1st, 2026, or shortly thereafter.
Successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, academic scholarship, and education. Appointees will join multidisciplinary disease site teams within a comprehensive cancer centre and work closely with colleagues across clinical genomics, clinical trials, translational research, and supportive care.
In addition to clinical responsibilities, candidates are expected to engage in research (clinical, translational, or basic) and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Depending on qualifications and interests, successful candidates will be appointed in one of the following University of Toronto academic tracks: Clinician Investigator (CI), Clinician Teacher (CT) or Clinician Quality & Innovation (CQI)

Our bench-to-bedside model fosters deep collaboration between scientists and clinicians, enabling rapid translation of discovery into innovative therapies. The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre also supports a strong clinical trials and drug development infrastructure and maintains a GMP cell processing facility.
As teaching hospitals fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, Princess Margaret and Sinai Health are committed to educating the next generation of cancer specialists while advancing world-class research and care.
Applicants musts; hold an MD and FRCPC (or equivalent) in Medical Oncology; be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO); demonstrate evidence of academic excellence and commitment to scholarship appropriate for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto, exhibit a strong record of clinical expertise, team collaboration, and academic productivity.
For Clinician Teacher candidates, excellence will be demonstrated by teaching innovation, curriculum development, and/or teaching awards. For Clinician Investigators, excellence will be demonstrated through peer-reviewed research funding, publications in leading journals, and recognized academic contributions.
Academic rank, salary, and contractual arrangements will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidates. A highly competitive and attractive remuneration package is available.
