As a 1st Cook, reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for the proper and timely preparation of meals, including food service, food safety, and supervision of kitchen staff.
Your Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean kitchen and food storage areas.
- Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) according to client schedules, menu plans, and budget guidelines.
- Respond flexibly to client needs and food preferences.
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Safe Food Handling/Health Unit regulations.
- Follow all relevant Dexterra and hospital policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of meals served.
