You'd also be joining The Distillery Restaurants Corp., creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits Oyster House \& Grill, and Madrina Bar y Tapas and Distillery Events (Archeo and The Loft). What you'll be doing:
- Preparing dough according to District Pizza standards
- Preparing food according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set out by our Chef
- Operating standard kitchen equipment with caution
- Maintaining clean and organized stations
- Following FIFO method to maximize product freshness
- Moving food products and supplies between outlets when necessary
- Reporting any equipment/utensil malfunctions/deficiencies to Chef on duty
- Working collaboratively with BOH and FOH team members
- Encouraging the DRC's core beliefs and values on a daily basis
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned
What we would like you to bring to the kitchen:
- At least one (1) year of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Culinary degree/diploma completed, in process, or the equivalent in education and experience considered an asset
- Genuine passion and drive to create
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills among team members
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Humble personality with a good sense of humor
- Physical ability to work standing for long periods (up to 8 hours) and in environments with high temperatures; ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
